December 26th, 2011: Youth Development Professional
(part-time, non-exempt) - Murray Child Care

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Youth Development Professional is responsible for planning and implementing activities with groups of children ages 3 to 9. The Youth Development Professional’s primary focus is youth enrichment and safety.

Must be energetic and enthusiastic and have the ability to multi-task on a daily basis. Applicants must also have the abilities to express good judgment and provide guidance and appropriate disciplinary action as needed to youth. Must be detail-oriented, flexible and enjoy working with youth and families. Clear verbal and written communication skills are a must. Applicants must also be able to manage time efficiently, display punctuality, and be able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Applicants must be able to maintain a positive relationship and professionalism with youth, families, staff members, volunteers, faculty, and community partners at all times.

Qualifications: 21 years of age. Must pass a background check. Experience working with youth a plus, Must have a CDL or able to obtain one

December 26th, 2011: Intern Development Associate
(Part-time, non-exempt) - Murray Development Office

Interested in learning how one of the largest non-profits in Utah raises money to support its programs? Well here's your chance!

The Boys & Girls Clubs of South Valley is offering an internship opportunity in the fundraising department.

The Development Associate will work under the supervision of the Director of Development, the Director of Special Events and the Director of Corporate Relations to plan, develop, and execute fundraising strategies of the organization and monitor progress towards resource development goals. Will also work with various volunteer committees and Club staff, as needed for annual events. Will also be responsible for the PR and some marketing relations.

Qualifications: Preferred (but not required) High School Degree, B.S. or B.A. degree in business, marketing, business or related fields and/or experience in sales, marketing and outreach coordination, nonprofit organization and/or related fields. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.

This internship position is unpaid; however, you will gain incredible fundraising experience, work side-by-side with Utah's most experienced and successful fundraising leaders; and, incentives and perks will be available for good performance.
